Meet Cece, our 9-year-old resident therapy dog and full-time comfort specialist. Rescued in 2017 from a high-kill shelter in the Philadelphia area, Cece has made it her life’s work to ensure everyone feels safe, seen, and supported. With a DNA test revealing she is nearly 100% “pitbull” breeds (and almost 80 pounds of pure muscle), Cece has a special talent for reminding us not to judge by appearances or first-impressions. Cece leads all interactions with gentleness, kindness, and that classic “pittie smile”!
Cece’s an expert in deep-pressure therapy (DPT), often offering a calming presence (and the occasional well-timed cuddle) during moments of emotional distress.
When she’s off duty, Cece enjoys being a professional couch potato, napping with her beloved cat siblings (big brother Jacob and baby sister Chloe), and dreaming about her late bunny sister, Lola. Fun fact: Cece snores louder than an old man who just got done a 12 hour shift, so we’re currently accepting donations for her future CPAP machine.
For everyone’s comfort, when Cece is in office with her owner and therapist, Christie, Cece always wears her “therapy dog” vest and only leaves the individual office space on a leash.
